Awarded on: 2021

Award Description:
The Japan National Mathematics Competition has been held by Nagoya University for elementary, junior high, and high school students for about 30 years since its inception in November 1990.
With the goals of “thinking freely and leisurely,” “discovering enjoyable mathematics,” “evaluating diverse talents,” and “fostering human resources,” the competition has made a unique contribution to mathematics education. Every problem is characterized not only by its unique content, but also by the fact that the problem text is very long that it makes you wonder if this is mathematics.
